Addison Golden is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist whose experience allows her to transcend traditional therapy. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Arizona and her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA. While participating in her traineeship in graduate school, she provided school-based therapy to lower socio-economic high school students and their families. Addison began her journey in the mental health field by working with children diagnosed with autism. Her role was to teach them fundamental daily living and communication skills. She also has experience working with co-occurring disorders, as she provided case management and transitional housing services to the homeless population. She was able to obtain a glimpse into the positive power of recovery at an early age by attending AA meetings with her parents. Her personal experience in therapy as an adolescent is what inspired her to become a therapist and support others in the same way.
Addison is passionate about helping people we serve at Multi Concept Recovery, specifically in working through their trauma, to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives. She uses a strengths-based holistic and integrative approach and believes that highly individualized treatment is most effective.
