B. Edward Shahrokh, PsyD, LAADC-CAClinical Director

    Edward Shahrokh is a LAADC and experienced mental health professional. He holds a masters degree in psychology from Pepperdine as well as a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara. Additionally, he completed his bachelors in philosophy from UCLA.

    Edward has predominantly worked with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders in various levels of care ranging from intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization programs, residential and detoxification settings. He has developed a specialization of working with teens and families in residential treatment. He brings his experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and psychodynamic approaches to individual, group and family sessions. Edward is also trained in the trauma-focused modality of Brainspotting. He predominantly focuses on increasing communication and cohesion, strengthening boundaries and enhancing attachment within families in order to decrease emotional dysregulation as families transition forward in their journey. As clinical director, he brings his strengths with systems, clinical experience and collaboration to support his clinical staff in providing excellent services to our clientele.

    Edward is extremely passionate about helping individuals in recovery find their purpose as he did in his own recovery. Outside of working in treatment, Edward likes to go on adventures with his partner and travel to new places. He enjoys competing in Spartan races as well as going to concerts to see his favorite bands perform. As a fairly new father, he seeks to spend as much time as possible with his daughter, Ava Luna.
