Janice Twesten, M.A., AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who earned my Masters in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. She has intensive training from the Maple Counseling Center; with specialized training in psychodynamic therapy, experience working with eating disorders, substance use disorders and other co-occurring disorders. She has worked in both residential and outpatient settings and enjoy being able to work with adults, adolescents, families, and couples. She works with difficulties in relationships, the effects of trauma, substance use (and abuse), changes in mood, anxiety, and depression. She believes therapy is a collaboration between both client, and therapist. She works to meet her clients’ where they are in their recovery process. In her work she creates a non-judgmental, supportive and nurturing environment, where people are able to share not only their feelings, but explore their inner strength and create the future they want, and deserve. Were happy to have Janice as part of the Multi Concept Recovery family of clinicians.
