Suzy Pilipossian earned her Master’s degree from Phillips Graduate University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. She has also received a certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Level 2, as well as training from the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Suzy has several years of experience between the addiction, mental health, psychiatric hospital, and college counseling fields. Her eclectic approach with her clients combines psychodynamic, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Mental health is a topic that carries a high stigma in Suzy’s culture. This fueled her desire to gain a deeper understanding of it and learn how to decrease the stigma that it comes with. She uses compassion, empathy, and education to make therapy a positive experience for clients. The knowledge in mindfulness she carries provides a unique approach to guiding clients to bring peace into their day-to-day experiences. Suzy’s love for psychology and learning about the human psyche is the driving force in her current pursuit of her PhD in Clinical Psychology.
